i got a bta and it doesnt like my lights its trying to hide under a rock. the problem is it looks like it is stuck in a crack looks like it cant pull itself through but the foot keeps going. should i help it or is it smart enough not to tear itself apart.

Sounds like it is trying to plant its foot in the crack. It can deflate pretty damn good and even if it managed to tear itself, it could easily regenerate, not that I would let it tear its self apart, but I doubt it will do that.

I would turn down the flows for 30 minutes to see what it wants to do. I bet it is trying to find a new home.

well it pulled itself through. now it is hanging upside down under an overhang should i be concerned or just let it have some time?

I would let it be. My GBTA stayed upside down for a day or two until it realized which way was up. It moved completely to the other side of the tank and loves it!

It will figure it all out. I know some people who don't have sense enough to het out of the sun before they burn.
Anemones are actually pretty smart for not having a brain. ;)

leave it alone there strange creatures they do the strangest things they go where they want when they want they can get in the strangest places

its still hanging upside down but now its reaching toward the light im sure it is fine now. it spent 2 days upside down inflating and deflating in the dark. i think the 400 watt halides might of shocked it a bit. thanks for the help. iil update if it takes a turn for the worse

Ouch.. 400 watt MH? Mine little guy didnt like the 250 watt MH that it was directly under. These guys seem to like lots of light, just not focused light. I dont think your BTA was being stupid, I think it was doing what most BTA would do, try and protect itself.
