how thick should they be?

hello all,
When you are making your own sump how thick should the baffles be, or for that matter any of the glass that will be used as divders? same question goes for my internal overflows? Was wondering because there will be water on both sides so there really won't be any presure on the glass.

I always use 1/4" Glass on baffles and sump walls. Just seems nice and sturdy.

Depends on the height and width of the baffles I used 3/8 on my sump that was 24" wide.

I`ve always used 1/4" on glass and acrylic and have had good luck. 3/8 glass and .220 acrylic are other sizes.

Like Hop mentioned it really depends on the span and size they are. You dont want too thin though or they will bow and too thick could just possibly be wasting money

3/8 or 1/4 should do you just fine for glass. If you go with acrylic then go at least a 1/4"
