How to alternate between 2 streams with 7094 controller?

I would like to experiment with having my 2 6100 streams run alternately - ie pump1 comes on for 1 minute then goes off, then pump 2 comes on for 1 minute then goes off and then back to pump1 and so on.

The manual seems to say this can be done - page 23:

pump1 on socket 8
pump2 on socket 11
set pulse time
set interval mode by pushing switch 13 to top position - LED 16 will light up.

When I follow the instructions both pumps run continuously and the internal LED never comes on.

Can anyone help with what am I doing wrong?

You might try disconnecting the power and trying again and double check the switch position. If it still doesn't work i suspect the switch is broken.

I went through the steps again and powered off both pumps - the green LED never lit up. The switch feels ok and the unit has been well protected.

What I also noticed was that neither alternating modes work:

with the switch at the bottom position (seq) the first yellow LED comes on but the others do not follow - as they used to some years ago. The middle position lights all 4 LEDs which is what I normally run in. The top position lights 2 LEDs (never the green one) but never moves over to the other 2.

Do you think I would need to replace the controller?

Is the plug firmly in the last socket? You have to use the first and last sockets.

Dumb user error - the cable was plugged into the multicontroller properly but had come out the driver end - I was retrieving something from underneath the tank the other day and must have dislodged it.
