How to control a Sunset Monti

I was wondering what the best way would be to control a Sunset Monti from completely taking over. My Sunset has covered the rock it is on and is encroaching on neighboring rocks. Removing the rock it is on is not an option without an entire aquascape rearrangement. Are there any corals out there that "win" when they battle with a Sunset Monti? So far, everything that it has come in contact with has been killed or over run...with the exception of aiptasia

Turning off your flow and burning it by placing kalk slurry would work also I saw a thread on high power lasers, like 2w, for aptasia that would probably also kill sps in a very localized manner. Placing lps near it would work, favias and acans will win but could become an issue themselves in a year. Zoanthids could work too.

plumbers putty, or if you have some aggressive coral like pavona. a chip of pavona will kill anything.

I created a barrier with some AquaMend. Once it covered the AquaMend I chiseled that off, fragged it into multiple pieces and sold them.

I also have a Superman Monti next to a Pavona. The Pavona wins against everything. I originally wanted the Pavona to keep the Monti in check, however now the Pavona is becoming the problem.

I surround/cage mine with a ring of epoxy and when the monti completely encrusts the epoxy I break off pieces of the epoxy and sell as frags. Damn Sunset Monti weeds!! #FirstWorldReefingProblems
