How to culture polychaete worms?

So...I feel like I don't have enough polychaete worms in my sandbed. I'm upgrading from my 29 to a 55, and think that the purple dottyback and saddleback toby really did a number on my population. I've got a 2.5 gallon aquarium, or a bigger 10 gallon aquarium...sooo...what do I do? Have super high oxygen levels, add some macroalgae, a few polychaetes, monitor water quality, and feed heavily?

Just for clarification purposes, I'm talking about bristleworms, the pink-blue worms that live in the substrate and scavenge dead stuff and leftover fish food.

That sounds like a recipe for lots of bristles. 10g, decent parameters, worms, extra food. That's how people get explosions in their display tanks, so it should work in an isolated system.
