How to Feed an Anemone

Okay, so i know i can feed it some good raw shrimp, squid or silver sliders. And i guess just stick it right into its mouth the question comes how the heck do you feed it when it decides it wants to go way back into some rocks or hang upside down so its hard to get a straight shot at it? What are the tricks to feeding these hard to reach anemones?

Put food on a skewer and get it to the anemone. Metal skewer, stainless, is great for this purpose.

Use a long thin plastic rod with a toothpick superglued to one end.
I use a rod from old window blinds.

We've had an H. crispa for over two years now, and a rbta since January. I don't have to aim for their mouths anymore. I just have to get the food on the tentacles and they do the rest. I have long tweezers to help me do this, but mine aren't hiding either so that makes it a little easier. With my rbta I didn't feed rght away either, I got it from another reefer and it was really healthy so I figured I could wait a little bit while she settled in, once she did she was a lot easier to reach.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info guys. Mine tend to get into places where it makes it a pain in the neck to feed. Now i know what to do!
