How to feed horses while youre away?

I just realized something...how can you feed your horses while you area away?

Any appropriate foods that can be put in a auto feeder and dumped into a suction cup feeding station?

I note no one has answered, so I'll try, though it's been a long time since I had horses....if you have a lot of cover, and can get a live food via internet that you can just dump in wholesale and let them hunt as they do in nature, while it lives in the tank, well, that should hold them a few days...some of the RC sponsors sell live food. The other issue is topoff, which might get more critical than food. If you could get a friend to come in every couple of days, that might be enough.

You can get away with a ton of salt water feeders if it is going to be less than 5 dyas IME. If it's going to be longer I'd get a friend.

Right, a good website that several RC members have gotten plenty of small saltwater feeders is seawaterexpress.com, you might also try aquaculturestore.com but I believe the mysis would be a poor choice for long term feeding (cannibalistic, etc).

Honestly a tank sitter to come in to feed the SH would be well worth it, surely there is someone in PARC who would be open to it.

It's always good to have someone in... they can also make sure all your automated systems (and those less automated) are working properly and make sure your livestock are healthy.
