My Diamond Watchman Goby - He's a fantastic sand sifter, and he's my favorite fish at the moment. He'll eat anything floating by, anything in the sand, and any shrimp chunks I toss on the bottom. Quite the pig he is.
I recently set up a 225 gallon aquarium and put a watchman Gobi in and he has disappeared I've been trying to find him for the last two days I know that they eat food that's floating by but with such a large aquarium I'm afraid I can't make sure that food floats by him Any suggestions would be greatly Appreciated.
They usually make themselves a cave. If you can find its cave, you can take a turkey baster and squirt some Mysis or Brine shrimp directly into the sand bed at the entrance.
YWG will sift sand, but only so much as he needs to maintain his burrow. One of a pair will also steal a whole cube of fish food and take it to the burrow, where self and mate nosh down. Formula One sinking pellet is a good food for bottom dwellers.
