I am new to Zoas but I am already hooked. I was just wondering what is the best way to get them to grow. I have 14k and a 4600 k attinic power compact which gives the tank around 6 watts a gallon. I also have been supplementing the tank with aquavitro's fuel and ions. If anyone has some other ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Good to strong lighting
Stable parameters
Good to strong flow
leave them be. ( LOL )

Start them low then gradually move them up as time goes.

watts per gallon means nothing

I have 3 watts per gallon over my full blown sps tank and could fry most zoas into oblivion if I wasnt very careful with acclimation. I dont keep zoas in it but just giving a little perspective.......

elaborate on your lights ;)

and pay specail attention especially to that last thing IS350 said. I seldom have.........but should. lol

I was looking at some old pics of mine just a little bit ago for a thread, and it is clear I used to be WAY better at growing them when I didnt even care if they were there or not

yeah watts per gallon is weak. It all depends on the intensity. I had 36 watts of power compacts over my tank and my zoas were all stretched. I switched to 36 watts of t5ho with individual reflectors and my tank saw a drastic improvement. everything above is good advice, im not sure whats considered fast growth but i have mine with some flow and good parameters and they are consistently putting out new heads
