How to get clowns to host in my RBTA

i tried the pic thing, too.... it didn't work.. I blame ORA with their tank-raised fish that've never seen an anemone. (not knockin' breeding, though)

That's odd, it was my ORA fish that went for the nem first.

Ask 10 different reefers about their clowns hosting and you’ll get 10 different answers. Best advice is to just be patient. All those pictures on the tank will just stress out your clown. I had an ORA host within a couple of weeks while my sister had to wait about 3 months for hers to host.

The pictures all over the tank photos made me lol!

Have you tried guiding them in? That is what I did, and it worked on the 2nd try.

Ding Dong ....Kudos to you.......I just Laughed My *** off......I just picked up a huge anemone and they havent gone anywhere near it....I gotta post pics to fig out what kind it is......Thanks again for the laugh

I placed mine in the tank next to it and it went right to it , the next day it was never by it for weeks than I added another clown and it was fighting over it ! I have also lost clowns to a bta as food also !

Hey guys, no luck yet with the clownfish. I took off the photos after a few days of it not working. I have tried guiding them into it and they still will not go in yet. So now I am playing the waiting game and am hoping it will not be for much longer.

Glad it gave a few of you a good laugh!

Thanks again everyone for you help

I have a 12"+ RBTA and 2 false perculas and they go nowhere near it. Actually they refuse to even go to the side of the tank that the anemones is in!! 6 months later I am just living with the fact that they will never host...

You guys are using the wrong pictures, try printing out this one.
