So i'm annoyed with my water because it is not clear... it's full of i guess sediment and bits floating around all the time. It makes it look cloudy and I want it to look clear so I can see everything clearly.

It doesn't have to be perfectly clear..

So any suggestions on something to polish the water ? I have a remora skimmer right now and a refugium.

thanks alot

I use a filter sock on the drain from my tank into the sump. If you go this way, be sure to change/clean it often -- if they get too dirty they can be a source of nitrates. Plus, they'll overflow if they get clogged.

Run carbon. I'm not too sure what your setup is, but you could place a filter sock on the end of your overflow line with some activated carbon in it. If that isn't an option then you could also run a canister filter with carbon. Take an old pair of nylons and fill it with loose carbon...then just place it inside the canister. There's that method or you could just get the carbon pads - usually people prefer the loose carbon, though.
And if that doesn't polish the water enough you could try several products such as Algone, Chemi-Clean, Purigen. I've used Algone with decent results, but I've also heard great things with Purigen.

Two words..

Activated Carbon..
Just started using it this august since my origional skimmer gave up the ghost on the latest tank move. I don't have much faith in the replacement, so I tried a small power filter with carbon & a sponge. If not for micro bubbles you'd swear the only thing in the tank was air..

Because I t-off my return to a phosban reactor, my water takes some time to clear just utilizing my sumps filter sock, so what I do is I put a filter bag or sock over one of my Closed loop returns for a couple of hours. If you are using powerheads you could do the same thing. What I actually use are those whisper filter bags, I secure it on with a velcro wrap tie thingy.

Of course, I take it off after a few hours because it does not look nice in the tank.

BTW, I only need to do this after I have really dirtied up my tank, the filter sock on the sump overflow does the trick during normal operation.

thank you for all the advice =)
I dont' have a sump I wish I did tho.. So I will get some carbon and possiably a cansiter filter aswell.

here is a cheap system that will help--combination phosban and carbon in reactors:
