How to introduce a new clown

How do you guys introduce a new clown to the tank.

I've had a clown in my tank for about 2 weeks and tried to introduce a smaller one
today with no luck.

Not sure if something was wrong with it when I got it, but it didn't make it.

Would like to try again but don't want to lose another.

Added tank water in a small container like I usually do.

The other clown attacked as soon as I released it.

This is the safest way, intro in a specimen container.
You should be able to tell if the bigger female is curious, or wants to kill it.
I let this float for a couple/few days before release.

I do pretty much the same thing only I use a mesh container I picked up from my LFS. I leave the new one in the container for a couple of days before releasing it. A few times, the one already in the tank will still go after the new one but I've had luck with switching them out and putting the old one the container for a few days if that happens. Also rearranging your aquascape can sometimes help if all else fails. Good luck.
