how to keep anemones out of pump blade?

i have a rsm and want to add another powerhead next to the out and want to know if its possible to cover the pump intake so my anenome doesn't become blender's. i have tried fine mesh and it just gets clogged anyone got opinions ideas random thoughts.....

Try a little less fine mesh. But I have to tell you, if you like your BTA, and your want another PH, you are going to have to decide between clean the PH once a week or more, or, get rid of the BTA...

ah, thank you so much. i didnt think it was possible, mainly because the tentacles stretch out and could make a 5 inch spaghetti string. LOL

i checked those out, they look pimp. but i got a rio and i need to block the bottom, i think the panty hose one was good. iam using 200 micron screen mesh currently and its working fine.
i would like to build one of those gaurds but iam in to much pain to do much as it is but if you have any other ideas please post im open to anything.

This is the screen material that I used on the gaurds I made.
It comes in 10X12" sheets. It is plastic that bends easily. I got a pack of 10 sheets for $1.88 at wal mart. I have also seen it at craft stores. I think it is used for sewing or something.

I think you could craft something easily out of this and maybe some cable ties.

sweet, i know now what i will do. and i know what you are talking about some poeple use them for knitting emblems i think.
i will post a pic when i come up with a finished product
