How to keep rock off sand bed

I need help in creating an aquascape where as little rock as possible is on the bed.

Is this only able to be accomplished if:
1. You are lucky enough to find large branching pieces
-or-
2. Drilling the rock as opposed to mounting them naturally

First photo is example of goal (not mine).
Second photo is my just set up tank.

IME, you’re either going to need to use the larger branching rock, drill and use acrylic rods or use a reef cement.

I can’t view your photos (I got some network error). Anyway, one of the easiest is starting with dry rock and then just attaching rock together (tidal gardens has a good video on how they do it -
)

Otherwise, as mentioned, drilling and using acrylic rods.

The one you pasted as desired is a man made and has been either cast or sculpted as one piece.
There are reef cements that you can use but I have not done it.

I built my rock in large pieces. These 2' piece are the backbone of my reef and it is a few large rocks cemented together.

Dam, I forgot sometimes my pictures don't appear here. If there is a X click on it, but if that doesn't work, I will try to reduce the pictures

They are held off the grabel with DIY pieces like this.

You don't see these pieces under my rock but it holds all my rock off the gravel and it only touches in a few small places so I can see under my reef all the way to the back. Hard to see here.
