How to move a Gig from a Pot

New blue gig moved into Clay Pot in QT, been in DT for 3 wks and so far so good. How do I get him off the pot and on the rocks? After all this don't want to risk damage.

I would carefully break the pot. The last time I removed a gig from the rockwork, I ended up chiseling the rock. They like to bury their foot deep into a crevice, so I wouldn't be surprises if it is attached to the bottom of the pot. It looks really happy though, so if you don't mind the way the pot looks, it's fine to keep it as is.

I wouldn't mess with it, if you have rock rubble I say build up around the pot to hide it. Looks happy/healthy though.

I would agree with this.
There is no way to carefully break the pot and the chances of injuring the pedal disk are way too high.
Also I found in the past that a "potted" anemone is less likely to walk around. It's actually pretty close to perfect for them to put their foot - a "hole" with a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

I've been pondering how to break without making a mess or hurting things. Couldn't figure it out so i plan to build a rock mound around it.

Next gig i will use a smaller pot
