This Reefkeeping Magazine article has tutorials on how to resize your images as well as instructions on how to use (and where to find) image hosting websites.
Holler if you need clarification on anything.

yea thanks for the info but i wanted to put my pics on here not other websites also. and i dont get how the photo gallery thing works and then how to post them in the forums, confusing. im a member of another SALTWATER FISH forum and its very simple. i guess im just used to that site.
Yeah I know it can be frustrating but once you do it a couple times it's a piece of cake- just takes a few run-thrus.
The RC gallery is good but there is a file size limitation and that's why most people end up using a website to host their images on. RC has so many members that the resource drain was overwhelming and we had to put size limits in place.
Regardless, assuming you want to use the RC gallery to host your images you need to know where they are on your computer (what folder they're in and how to navigate to it). Then click on the 'upload photos' link on your gallery page. That will bring you to the page that you upload from. Find the 'Photo to upload' section and click on the browse button to the right. That will open a Windows window and that's where you navigate your computer file system to where the image is-- double click on the image you want to upload, enter a title and description and then click on submit/upload.
A new page appears with your picture right there. Right click on the picture and select 'properties'. A few lines down you will see the 'Address '--- that is what you want to selec...e image will appear in the body of the reply.
