how to prepare to use Rowa?

I'm going to put it in my 2 little fishes reactor. I bought bulk with a buddy so I didn't get any mesh bag. Do I need it? Or can I just use some filter floss, in the reactor? And how do I rinse rowa, as said on their website? Thanks

Just fill up your reactor with rowa and run the first 3-4g of water into a seperate bucket until the water goes clear, then you are good to go.

Should I use the filter floss? Or is the filter pads that come with the reactor good enough?

I just got mine up and running. You do not need the mesh bag if using the reactor. I ran about 4-5 gallons of ro/di water throught the media to start with. A bit of overkill. You just need to run water through it until the water output is clear. I then ran the same amount of saltwater through the reactor to get the fresh water out. This is what the instruction said to do except I probably used more water than I had to use.

I've drained several gallons, there are just a few microscopic partlicles, how clean do I have to drain the stuff

You're probably good to go. I just refilled my reactor, turned it on and dumped about 3 gallons of water. Make sure you have some makeup water to add when you do this!! (<<<Guess what I DIDN'T have!!)

I also have it "T' off, how much flow should I be putting through there, a slight tumble of the top?
