How to quote a thread?

Sounds kinda crazy here but I cant figure out how to quote from multi posts in one thread.If anyone one is up tonight can you give me a tutor,I hit the quote button and it doesn't seem to be working ,not sure what I'm doing wrong?

If you hit the quote button on the bottom right hand side of a post, it will take you to a new reply, with the quote and some code in front and after it. If you would like to make multiple quotes I usually right click the quote buttons and open each one in a new tab, then copy and paste all quotes into the same reply.

Since the upgrade, there's an easier way to do that - click the little icon next to the quote button - the one with a + sign on it - and then, on the last post you want to quote, hit the regular quote button. It'll open the reply screen with all the posts quoted.
