Hey, I purchased a crab about 4 months ago that was supose to eat hair alge. It did the job and is now to large, not shure how it got this big but it grew alot and is now trying to take out some of my fish. When ever a fish goes by he trys to catch it, all the fish are avoiding it. Iam not shure what kind of crab it is, I forgot the name but was purchased at the lfs. Its brown and black with some neon green in it. How do I catch it ? Its really fast to quick to net. Is there some easy way to remove it with out removing live rock etc ? Any help on how to catch this guy would be great.
Thanks

J

you could try baiting it into some sort of trap but i think the most effective way would be to just scare him into a smaller rock if possible then take that rock out

Here is what I did t get a few crabs outta my system, be sure to follow each step perfectly!!!

1. Remove all fish, wanted inverts, and corals.
2. Remove all the live rock (except the peices that contain crabs)
3. Remove all the sand.
4. Remove all but 3 inches of water.
5. Gather three turkey cookers.
6. Have someone help you lift the tank onto the three cookers.
7. Add freshwater.
8. Add 3/4 cup of Old Bay
9. Add 1 cup butter.
10. Start the cookers.
11. Allow the mixture to boil for approx. 10 minutes.
12. Remove from heat.
13. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
