Hi, everyone:

I thought that I had a very nice 240g Acrylic tank. For some laughtable reasons, the tank has a lot of serious scratches. How can I remove those scratches? Please, help me!

Thanks a lot,

Lots of hard work. I just did my 100.
I used Novus #2 and #3 and a 1/4" drill with a good buffing pad on it.
When you think your done with it you can just rinse it out with water and look at to see if your happy.
Good luck.

Hi, my best friend:

Where I can buy Novus #2 or #3, and good buffing pad? the Home Depot? By the way, if I can't do it, it is possible that you can provide your best service?

Thanks a lot,

Jason

Hi,
Try a good hardware store, also Grainger Supply, McFadden-Dale, or any plastic shop you have in your area.
Sorry I'm not for hire, but I'm sure you can do it, it just takes time and you might need to do it in two parts. Like half on Sat and the other half on Sun.
Thats what I did.
Good Luck - You can do it!!!

DR. Foster & Smith sell a polishing kit that works great. Used it on my 400. It's time consuming though. Starts with 2500 Grit wet/dry sand paper and works up to 36000 grit. Then you use a final polish for the outside. The inside dosen't matter as it will be clear when the tank is full of water. ;) Plus they say not to use the polish on the inside. You can also sand the inside while the tank is full. it just may make the water a bit milky.

you can get a sanding kit for around 30.00 or so. by the time you are done. you will have arm pump and a sore back. but the self gradification is well worth it.
