From a couple weeks ago, my acro + lps are started to bleach. I thought it was low or unstable KH, but I found out the real cause. It is bug!!!!
Do you know what they are? And how I can remove them from my SPS tank!

Can you remove the rock and dip it? I would get some tweezers and start manually pulling them out as well while you find a solution. Do you have any wrasses in your tank?

I used to have a mystery wrasse, but he died recently. Since then, the situation looks much worse.
My corals are huge, so I cannot dip them. So I made a tons of frags and put in a different tank after dipped.

Will you take a daylight picture of your coral and these bugs? If they're not out during the day add a picture of your Coral could also help.

Did not have a chance to take pic under daylight. I removed the coral from the tank and dipped with Revive. A tons of them came off from corals.

It does look like nudis, but more like copepod or amphipod.

acropora eating nudibranch

no way to get rid of them unless you remove every single acro is your system.

dipping doesn't work since the eggs are immune

the only solution is to remove and dip all acropora every 5-7 days until all eggs have hatched and the babies have been killed by dipping

sorry :(

Wrasses will help keep them under control, but not eliminate them.

take a closer day light pic.
acro eating nudi is worst than AEFW, their eggs are way smaller and white. they lay them close to the acro tissue, but not always.
they can get to breeding within 2-3 weeks and they can lay egg daily.
revive don't kill them, have no effect after 15 mins dips.
lugol's solution dont kill them, after 10mins move the nudis back to the tank water, active again within 15mins.
however, double normal amount of revive and lugol's mix will kill them within 3 mins.
hope you dont have them.

Hey look at my thread in the reef equipment forum but if you have a majano wand see if you can zap them?
I did that with a monti and killed a bunch flatworms but I zapped each one. I wondering if it would kill them in a small area.
Interested in your results.

BTW : didn't seem to effect the coral expect no PE for an hour or so.

Doesn't work. I even tried laser blasting.

You only slow down the infestation and those that hide best reproduce to make more.

There are no shortage of critters that will eat them like crazy, but they cannot get to them. Only a turkey baster can get to them all that well. Once you get colonies, you are dead since you cannot get them out. If you have frags, then crabs, ornamental shirmp, damsels, wrasses, etc, can really keep them in check... but eventually, the branches start to grow and they can hide better.

Those look like color morphed AEFW to me - darker. Are they clearer sometimes? You probably got them in town - there are several folks that are known carriers and none of them admit it when they sell or trade.

I had something similar but smaller. Interceptor killed them dead, did a second treatment a few weeks later. It may not be the same bug but if you have some interceptor might be work taking out an infected branch and trying a dip before treating the entire tank.

It may be, but testing interceptor does no harm. I can't find a picture of an acro eating nudibranch for positive id. Nudibranchs generally don't move fast like pods type pests so that may be another clue here.
