How to use your Profilux to precisely control a Calcium Reactor

Ive done the dosing methods. Having multiple reservoirs to fill, multiple dosing pumps to monitor for clogging/failure, and the ability to throw your alk/ca/mag way out of balance were huge issues. Also, it encourages precipitate in the tank since it is supersaturating the water in the area of effluent entry, and i had real issues with solidifying my substrate, none of which occurs with a ca reactor. But it really is "to each their own", some have great success dosing.

My ca reactor balances alk/mag/ca and i only have to get one effluent stream under control. I can control the potency of the effluent by altering the pH in the reactor, and i can use a profilux or other dosing equipment to handle effluent delivery.

There are two options with ca reactors that I can see:
1. Dose very slowly, a potent effluent, do so with a doser since a slow drip rate will clog.

2. Dose very quickly, a dilute effluent, do so with water pressure and a quick stream and it will not clog.

This thread is about option 1, however I will admit that since posting recently I chose to go with option 2.
