Huge Issue

Hi People

We're currently having massive issues with our tank. I'm not sure whether it's what you'd class as a tank crash or not but something basically happened over night where a pungent smell came about in the tank along with cloudy water. Crustaceans are dying, anemones (Crispa and bubble tips) have lost their stickiness and are now bleached, and corals have produced a lot of mucous. There is also a spike in ammonia and nitrite.

My question is, are the anemones now too far gone or would they be able to make a come back if I can get the water parameters back to where they should be? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks

I dont know how long they've been in those bad water conditions but id they're still attached and have some color, you can give it a shot a bringing them back. But you need to get them out in to some good water quality!
Anemones are picky about where they stay and need good quality in a tank, params, light flow etc... If you can meet these parameter fast enough and feed them while they recover the color they should make it!

What are your params?
Temp?
Salinity?
Did something die?

Good Luck hope everything gets better!

So given their state of having no stickiness on the tentacles and being bleached how do I go about feeding them and with what? I tried with some shrimp yesterday but they wouldn't except it. Thanks.

Find and the dead animal(s) and do at least a 50% water change. I might do a 50% WC every day until the water is clear again. There is no guarantee of anything living at this point but it does not hurt to try. Salt is the easiest and least expensive thing to replace.
