humidity solution ?

I have a 150 gallon sump, 65 gallon frag tank and 3 brute containers for RODI in my basement and apparently the humidity is starting to cause rust. I need a solution before my wife kills me. Ideas? Links to specific dehumidifiers would be great. Thanks!

Don't have a link as I'm on my phone but I purchased a dehumidifier fro. HD and that did the trick. Humidity has a hard time getting over 40% now as long as I keep bucket drained. Whatever you do, get one that has a pump to pump water out so you aren't constantly emptying it.

Yep. Plus you lose efficiency in the exchange of gasses and without the evaporation to cool it, the tank will pick up heat.

If you cover the tank the covers (whatever you may use) have to be cleaned almost daily or else they weaken your lighting.

I guess. This little guy was putting out some heat yesterday though. If I can get away with running it x number of hours a day and keeping it at a reasonable level, I think it might be better than running continuously? Which brings me to my next question. What humidity level should i be shooting for?

My humidity hovers between 40-50%. All depending on when I empty the water bucket. In lower humidity I can almost see tank evaporation happening.

I use a window a/c in the summer and dehumidifier in the winter. Dehumidifier put out too much heat into the basement in the summer.
