I have a 150 gallon sump, 65 gallon frag tank and 3 brute containers for RODI in my basement and apparently the humidity is starting to cause rust. I need a solution before my wife kills me. Ideas? Links to specific dehumidifiers would be great. Thanks!
Don't have a link as I'm on my phone but I purchased a dehumidifier fro. HD and that did the trick. Humidity has a hard time getting over 40% now as long as I keep bucket drained. Whatever you do, get one that has a pump to pump water out so you aren't constantly emptying it.
I recently ordered two of these and have been happy with them.(one for the basement and one for upstairs) They are rated very high on Amazon as well. Another nice thing about these is that you can attach a hose to the back and run the output straight to a drain so you don't have to empty the bucket.
I guess. This little guy was putting out some heat yesterday though. If I can get away with running it x number of hours a day and keeping it at a reasonable level, I think it might be better than running continuously? Which brings me to my next question. What humidity level should i be shooting for?
