Humming 6501

I don't know if this has been discussed; if so my apologies.

I've got two 6501 streams, and both work flawlessly, but one of them 'hums', for lack of a better word. As the speed ramps up and down, the pitch changes, but it never goes away. I've cleaned it a few times, and never found anything in the bushings or motor, and it hasn't changed the behavior at all.

Is this something I should send in, or can you recommend a fix for me?

If the pump was from before mid 2010 and has the older clamp, the new 6065.650 silence clamp will likely help. Around the same time the drive unit was also updated and the new 6105.700 drive unit may help. Usually the cause is the magnet reverberating against the glass or a drive unit that has an unbalanced prop (worn or damaged on one blade) or a bent shaft.
