Probably not. They would object to a disease-ridden baby being fed to a dog or to fish.

The ability to feel is a necessary (and sufficient) condition for having preferences (although probably not for having interests more broadly construed). So, if the baby couldn't feel, it wouldn't care either way about the fur, and we couldn't hold it responsible for fur-wearing...

At least that's what most animal liberation philosophers think anyways... that crap happens to be a specialty of mine. Too bad PETA oversteps the logic too often...
