Humu humu attacks snorkeler!

Oh that's YOU in vid?
Your view of the flipper hit was better than ours!LOL
I think it got riled thinking that another trigger was in it's space, just amped him up.
Cool vid, wish I had that of mine.
Mine never tried to bite me, but would not leave me alone, in my face blocking my view, and we were long range in middle of nowhere Mexico, so no lobby's, no dinner.
At first was cool, but after a while I was getting irritated.

That's funny. I had the same thing on Maui last month. The fish kept coming at me and I had to ward it off with the camera, but I didn't think fast enough to put it in video... just got the camera.

A similar thing happened to me last time I went body boarding. Except the fish was a juv. bull shark, I was in the atlantic, and I had no camera. No wounds but I was a little shocked:lol2:.

I talked to a customer last week at the LFS I work at that got attacked by a full grown trigger. He said it looked like an undulated but didn't get a clear look at it. It ripped a big chunk out of his hand and part of his thumb.

All Trigger fish are #######s. They are just defending their territory afterall.

I was getting tag teamed in Turks and Caicos back in May.

Image from the first hit, my camera took the bite. The second hit he took my mask off.

Interesting! I have a rather small Picasso Triggerfish [about 4 1/2 inches] that has made his 110gal FOWLR tank HIS! He is one nasty SOB! Eats clams on the halfshell like nobodys business! LOL Somewhat fond of fingers as well!

Don't fear sharks, but triggers always get their distance.

In Ryuku, was bit on the left hand by a Picasso triggerfish. Luckily was wearing gloves. In Palau, was bit on the right hand, took a little chunk out and drew blood. Felt the pain before I saw the fish. Never was able to identify that one.

After I was bit the first time, I always kept my distance from the big Titan triggers off in the distance.
