hey everyone i just purchased my first fish, a humu humu trigger for my 92 gallon tank, i was wondering if u guys can give me any advice on them, such as feeding habits and what kind of fish can i mix with him?

also my LFS said they are pretty hardy fish, is this true?

They are very hardy. You trigger will eat any type of frozen food most likely. I feed mysis, mussell, bloodworms, fresh shrimp w/shell and any other fresh seafood. Mine even eats flakes, pellets and seaweed selects. They seem to never get full. As as far a temper, mine was very nice when he was small and then became a meaner as he grew bigger. I had to move him to his own tank due to his attitude. I have seen mellow ones as well.

i have one that loves to eat small fish but then again that may be because of the fact that he/she lives with a remora whos 3 times the size of him and he has to compete with it for food. also mine especcially loves fresh live bait shrimp as well as scallops and other fish. the current tank inhabitants are a 14-16in remora a 4in figi puffer, and a 6in bait fish.
