I really need help on this one. My butterfly, who I've kept for about 6 mo now, is hanging around the bottom of the tank and has red gills. I've been having some trouble with a leather coral which seems to be dying although that is another mystery since all other corals including another leather are fine. My parameters are on par and I even have a Emperor Angel which is showing no stress. All other fish are great although I suffered a star fish loss right before the leather and my cleaner shimp has gone missing. Please help!!!!!

With so many things so signs of stress - it really sounds like a water quality issue. Double check you water testing (and calculations) to make sure you parameters are what you think they are. You might even consider having some samples tested by someone else (such as your LFS) to verify your results. Might not be the usual suspects (ammonia, nitrate, nitrate), could very well be a toxin that has gotten into the water. Whatever you do, you need to institute aggressive water changes which should help until you have more information, or a better idea of what's going on. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but what you're describing is all over the map!
