Hydor Flo on Aquapod 24 - Questions

Does anyone have a Hydor Flo on the main return in the Aquapod 24? I picked one up last night and when the output position is pointing towards the surface it's practically shooting water out of the tank. Any suggestions on this?

wow ... what kind of return pump is in the aquapod 24?
My sister has a BioCube 29 - she has a hydor flo deflector in hers ... it does fine. Maybe the return output in too far up in the aquapod? how many inches is the return nozzle from the surface?

all i did was kind of angle the hydor down a little bit when you put it in the return nossle of the AP. just that little angle makes it not shoot out of the water....o yea and i have a MJ1200 on it so i dont know what pump you have

I also have an mj-1200 as my return pump. How did you angle it down? I had to use one of the adapters that came with the Hydor Flo and it fits pretty snug - don't see how there would be much room to angle it?

yea it fits snug but i was able to angle it just a little big. i just didnt put the adapter in all the way instead left just a a little bit out and angeled it that way. Idk how it worked but it did!

yea thats what mine does also.......it doesnt shoot out of the tank but it does come up a little bit but still i like what it does for my current in the tank

I have a hydro flo on my aquapod and a mj1200, the water does come out of the water but its more of a high wave rather than a blast of water that would be of any concern... I dont know why yours is/would be any different.

I have 2 MJ-900s in my AP, my return line hydor is connected using flex tubing so I can angle it down a tiny bit.. My water level stays high enough that it doesn't shoot up, it has a nice surface agitation.. especially with the 2nd one in there..

Tank looks great. I would recommend picking up a spray can of "krylon fusion" flat black and painting your cleaner magnet and your power head to make them blend into the background more.

The pump will be going behind the wall, once I get rid of my sapphire skimmer and do a closed loop..
And the magnet I dont care about, it will be covered in coraline within 6 months or so..

Where did you get this flex tubing you speak of?

Or you can buy some loc-line to angle your hydorflo. That is what I use on my return on my BC29 for the hydorflo.
