they pop off if you have them on a maxijet 1200 or they stop spinning because the inside mechanics strip out... if you want one you can have my old one because i would never waste my time product again.
I like the Hydor too. Had mine long enough for coraline build up. You need to clean the mechanism from time to time, but I've noticed the corals look better and the wave effect makes things look more natural.
It is cheap, quite bulky, but I would definately buy again. As a previous poster said, no one sees them, they see the corals!
