Hydrogen peroxide Dips

I am going to give this a shot, on the algea perspective of the dip. Havnt tried it against algea yet. It seems I need to though.....

I've heard it is great for algae. Just been scared to try because of the ratio of that to water. Glad to see this as a topic! Hopefully we will get some more sucess stories and the rates/ratios they used.

I've done it twice for algae. First time 4:1 tank water to peroxide. Second time 3:1. Worked great both times. Left in for 5 or 6 minutes. Zoas opened up the next day.

I tried the brew on zoa frag with some algae on it, next day algae gone on the zoas open and fine. I also tried it on a zoa frag with a couple of small aiptasia on it to see what would happen, no effect on the aiptasia.
2:1 SW to peroxide for five minutes.
Thanks for the tip!
John

anyone have any luck with H2O2 and zoa pox? i just lost a colony to zoa pox...furan II didnt work and only seemed to exasperate the problem...worried for the rest of my zoas now...

I've used it for bubble algae/GHA removal from zoa and acan frags, it worked great. The coral HATES it, but survives. Be careful dosing, data is still scarce.

I use 50% for five minutes. Roughly. I haven't lost a coral yet in 3-4 tries but I'm sure I will eventually. Thing is, I'd rather risk losing a frag than introduce a pestilence into my tank.
