Had these for a while. Appeared on my life rock during cycling. All rock and sand is new. Just trying to figure out what these are?
Thanks for any help.
They seem to live the frag discs as well.

I was hoping someone who had exp with this infestation would have chimed in id have liked to know what you have going on since ive never seen this even online or at any LFS.
Must be a rare event in a DS...........

I still vote Anemone like aiptasia..

They do have "some" ability to move around in a tank and often times just flow,etc.. can make it look like they are "swimming"

Well since I've broken the internet with trying to ID and eradicate it....I feel hopeless. Since its s reef tank with life any suggestions?

If it were me & no one can identify it & its not effecting any corals or inhabitants id just watch it for now.
My next concern would be if at some stage it started a die off off releasing toxins in the water requiring water changes. But, maybe it will go into a swimming stage & if so could be netted & removed or filtered out via a sock filter or whatever.
Otherwise if it stays about the same maybe a fish or shrimp that eats that sort of thing could be worth a try.
Live rock gotta love the biodiversity on it right? Even with dry rock i ended up with vermetid snails probably from some frag so these things happen.
