Hydrometer temperature correction.

Does anybody know what temperature a living sea floating hydrometer needs to be accurate? Reading online I found a bunch of charts to correct the salinity based on whether they are calibrated to 77 or 60 degrees. I just can't find anything on my hydrometer. Thanks!

You could always contact the manufacturer; however, since it is sold as an aquarium hydrometer I would think you can safely use the 70 degree calibration temp. 60 degrees is typically used for scientific purposes.... I think.

On a side note. I haven't touched my refractometer since I found my old Tropic Marin floating Hydrometer. I use it to measure the salinity of freshly mixed salt water. I heat my water to 77 degrees, float it for a minute it and I'm good.
