Im currently running a 40 watt uv on my tank. But my fish are being quarentined and will be ich free. Do i still need to keep it at all?

Im running ozone at the moment too.

What do you think?

Keep or ditch?

anyhow thanks in advance,

It's uncertain that your UV is being operated at the correct flow. But assuming it is set properly to destroy pathogens, then it is performing a function not covered by ozone or your other equipment.

The use of UV can improve clarity by controlling blooms of bacteria and micro algae in the water column. So it has a purpose/function other than its effect on pathogens. It's up to you if you want to run that equipment, whether it noticeably helps your system.

For my part, if I don't create the bacterial and algae blooms, then I don't need equipment to 'fix' it. :)
