hyposalinity and BTAs

My coral beauty has come down with ich. I put him in quarantine and I am brining down the salinity. My question is can I treat my display tank with hyposalinity while my BTA is in there? I know inverts don't do well with it but I know that BTAs can thrive in trace amounts of copper. (I know this because this is the only invert that would live more than 3 days in a tank I once treated with copper). I just wondered if it was the same with hyposalinity.

No, hyposalinity with likely kill your BTA's. Besides that, there is no reason to treat the display if you have already removed all the fish to quarantine. Just leave the display fishless for six weeks and all the parasites should die off.
