Hey RV:

I am upgrading my SPS tank (85 gal.) to a 175 Bow front. I already run two 6000s on a 7095 & have been very happy with them for years now. I am sure I will need more flow. I have a dual return which will come off of an Eheim 1262 with penducators & I want to simply add to my 7095 as needed.

I am thinking two additional streams are in order but which?? 6000s are no longer made, right? What do you think (6101s?)? Should I wait for 6105s? Less energy consumption? I may go with the deco rock for the two additions & have the other two I already have pointing towards the center from each corner. Please advise.

Best,

You can always upgrade your 6000s to 6100s by just buying the 6100 transformers(hockey puck). Might want to pick up another pump too.

I agree with lecher, the cheapest and most efficient solution is to buy 2 7410.602 transformer and upgrade the 6000 to 6100's. The energy savings between a 6100 and 6105 is not enough to justify it in my opinion.

Ok....

Ok....

So, simply upgrading the transformers should be enough? I hope I made sense, they are actually eductors on the return & the two 6000s only. I was thinking I would need another pump or two but, I'm not complaining ;) . Where can I get the transformers?- N/M found some on line...
