I created a Fantasy Football League on Yahoo Sports for this forum. I'll be the commish of the league. The only people in the league should be reefers that are either in CMAS or frequent the RC website.

Here are the details: Draft is scheduled to be online on Thursday, 9/3/09, at 8:30 p.m. If you plan to enter the league, it would be best for you to be at the draft, but if you can not be there, you can pre-rank your players on Yahoo up to 45 minutes before the draft. Expect the draft to take a hour and a half.

This league DOES have an entry fee, but nothing you must pay either myself or Yahoo. By entering this league, you are AGREEING that you WILL put up at least one frag. The winner will recieve 7 of the frags at the end of the season (of the winner's choosing), with 2nd and 3rd place getting the rest. Post in the league what frags you will be making available after you create your team so that everyone in the league knows what is available. DO NOT ENTER THIS LEAGUE IF YOU CAN NOT PUT UP A FRAG AS AN ENTRY FEE OR IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO CHECK THE LEAGUE ON A REGULAR BASIS.

So the question might come up, "I want to join but I don't have a frag to offer." My response to that at this time is to hold off for a couple of weeks. If we have spots to fill after a coupe of weeks, maybe we can work something out in a couple of weeks but as of this moment, please do not enter the league unless you have a frag to put up as your entry fee.

Currently this league is scheduled to be a 12 team Head to Head league (single Division). If interest goes beyond having just 12 teams, I will open 2 or 4 more slots, and make it so there are 2 divisions. If interest does not fill 12 teams, then I will modify the league for 10 teams. Please use this thread to let me know if you were unable to sign up due to the league being full.

Simply go to Yahoo Sports, click on Fantasy and from there you should click on Join Existing League to put in this info.

After gaining entry to the league, please check out the stats I have set for each position to get yourself geared up for the draft. Of note, once the season starts, no team can make more than 4 moves per week. No team can pick up any players between Sunday (at noon) and Tuesday. You can put in waiver requests during this time, but you will only get that player on Tuesday if no one higher than you on the waiver list has requested the same player.

Any questions, post them here. Try to be friendly though with the questions and comments. I created this league as a way for some of us local reefers to have some fun and get to know each other a little. I know a ton of people are in different types of league and come from different FF experiences. This is just how I chose to set up this league. I have been the commish for a # of different leagues, and I know what typically goes a long with that.......please just go easy on me! Let's just have some fun with this!
 
OK, so the first question I got was from ppurcell, who doesn't have a frag to offer at the moment.

There is no way I would not want to include him since he started the whol idea of a CMAS FF league, so here is my idea for those that do not have a frag to offer......if you would like to join and do not have a frag to offer, you can join the league for the average cost of a frag, which IMO, is about $15-$20. Just create a post in the league after you sign up to state what you are posting as your entry fee for the league (whether it be cash or coral).

I would prefer that people post their entry fee as a frag as this is a CMAS reefers board, but I understand not everyone has frags to offer, and that they could use this type of experience to start building up their tank or coral collection........who knows they could end up using these corals on the Pay It Forward thread (hint hint nudge nudge) or they could use the money to help get their new tank up and going.

So, yes, you can enter the league and post a cash entry fee if you do not have a coral to offer. I do not want to exclude anyone on this forum, I just wanted to make it reefer related.

I hope everyone understands.

So to be clear, if entry fee to the FF league is a coral, post in the league what coral you are offering, if the entry fee is $$$, I think that person should pay $20 as their entry fee, and state that in their post in the league.

I'm just goofing off. I'd love to join but don't have a proper working laptop. Not to mention I don't know how to run a team. Just thought I would throw the Vick comment to let everyone know he's already signed.
