Ok after begging all the vets in my area I only got 1 pill (interceptor), according to the dosage thats enough for 1 treatment of 40 gallons. I have 55 gallons of water in my system. Anyone ever try a slightly lower dosage than recommended? I think I can get another couple of pills, but only next week-end and my acros look like crap. I was hoping to do a treatment tomorrow.

AHHH! my info says that its the box of 6 that treats 380 gallons, "reefs.org bulliten board CURE for redbugs". That means, I waaaay over dosed. What are your sources for the method of treatment???

I miss-read the instructions....I'm a stupid a.., well I'll let you all know what effect using about 10X the dosage on a mixed reef has.

FUNNY. I do make medication, but not viagra. Update, I left the treatment in for 6 1/2 hrs, the few hermits that I could'nt find when I removed my crustaecions died within an hour of dosing. It has been 5 hrs since I started up the skimmers, did a 35% WC and put in carbon. No sign of red-bugs (what a surprise) and all SPS,softies,LPS,clams, fish and worms are fine. It remains to be seen if in the coming weeks some problems may arise from this, but so far so good.

i have seen eric borneman suggest a 10x dose, but that is in a hospital tank with only the acros in it. you probably wiped out any pod population, but as long as you do some water changes and run carbon i think you will be all right.
