Like my title says.

He began pecking at rock almost right away, looking fine, etc.

When I got home from work late, lights off in the DT and didn't see him, but didn't think much of it.

The next morn, with my blues on (actinics), I couldn't find him! I thought maybe he's in a rock or crevice somewhere.
I eneded up re-aquasculpturing half of my 125DT, and with all the rock moving, etc, still haven't seen him at all.

I did look in my overflow, filter sock, sump, Floor, etc, no sightings carcass or live fish.

I'm still hoping he's hiding out, but it's been almost 48hours!

My fish, hermits, etc, would not have eaten him.
I have a large Blue tang, striped watchman goby, New(same time) CB Angel, Orbiculate cardinal, Oc. clown, Clown Wrasse?- AWOL

IDK, The picture on the Net sasys it is an African Clown Wrasse ( I forgot what the lfs was calling it.) It looks almost identical to my Ocelaris Clown fish.

I hope he shows up soon, but somehow, I think he vanished?

Are you talking about Coris gaimard?

They bury in the sand at night and sometimes stay in there for a quite a while. Mine would come out around lunchtime, sometimes a little later.

I hope if he was in the sand, you didnt kill him by sticking rocks down on him when you reaquascaped.

Exactly. And do NOT disturb the sand!!!!

My 'sand' isx cruched coral.

I am often re-aquascaping.

Recently, I have pulled over a 5 gallon bucket of my crushed coral 'sand' out of my tank. I want to go with a very slight bed. And yes, I made sure nothing visable to the eye was in the crushed coral I removed, by removing it one 8 oz cup at a time and pouring it out very slowly and watching it.

I do hope he's there- still no sightings. The CB Angel bought at the same time was fine one night, no spots on him etc., dead the next morning- him I could find and remove easily.
