I Got A Pair Finally!

Been having a lot of trouble pairing my rod's onyx baby. Seems he did not like the female I was trying to pair him with. He refused to shimmer for her so she beat the crap out of him... even forcing him to jump out of the tank twice!

I gave up on her, bought a WC SI onyx and it was love at first sight!!!!!! she swam slowly over to check him out, he shimmered wildly at her and she dove right into his frogspawn with him!

They are now rubbing all over each other and swimming centimeters apart. I'm SOOOO HAPPY!

Granted...the new female is yellow & the old one was dark orange like rods.. oh well!

I dont think I'd try a second pair in anything under 6 ft long & multi anem's. But its up to you.

My pair slept next to each other last night too. The female was not inside the frogspawn but she stayed hovering over it.

The small male is from rods-reef, the female is from my not so local LFS.

they do have a second pair, nice looking too. No signs of desease. My female is alittle skinny so she's being treated for internal parasites just incase.

They also have a pair of picasso's that are apparently breeding, one's almost onyx.
