Well, welcome back and keep posting on the progress.
I love those cubes, I have the slightly bigger ones (37), cherry color is my favorite, since mine were maple, decided to paint one and came out pretty good.
Which are your plans for the cube?

simple concept. Very little rock, maybe only 20 or 30 lbs.

Then I'm going to fill it full of decorative macro
and probably a bunch of zoanthids

I still need some equipment but I am already happier having a tank even though I don't have everything I need

stuff I need

1) powerhead
2) 150 watt MH fixture

zoas are nice, I started a zoa garden in one of them so far so good; I just placed a small frag in the tank and they have been growing nicely so been getting different colors, these are images of the little cube; I'm running one PFO 250W over it; overkill but had nothing to do with the pendant so might as well.
I think I have a Sunpod but have to check if it's 20" or 24" and also dig it out. Do you still work in San Francisco, If I remember right?

I know you will photoshop mad skills will transform it into a zoa garden :D
It's nice to see someone posting an actual tank thread or something else than selling these days; the greater bay area forum turned into a sub-forum of the buy sell trade

I'm thinking shoal grass for the the majority of the substrate and then use a mix of botryocladia and dragons tongue to add a little red around the base of the rock. As for creating a "tree-like" foliage i'm thinking maybe Neomeris

I have been out of the scene for so long that I thought it might be time to get back in. I haven't even made a meeting in 6 months :(

I think dragons tongue you may get from pixelpixi (BAR) I have a red one but still growing slow, I can trim some for you.
Also have tons of halimeda if interested

:) I'll let you know when I'm ready!!! thanks for always being generous!

I got some awesome macro from Dionae back when I had seahorse...I wonder if he is still around?

Ultimate plan is to have a sumpless system set up as a display refugium with decorative macro algea and sea grass
