I got weird ora snowflakes

Just got my ORA premium snowflake clowns today and they have been swimming up and down the glass the WHOLE day... non-stop...

I hope this behavior stops.. They haven't even explored the tank.. 60g... just been on the glass... all 3 corners..

concerns or just wait it out? I hope this isn't because they're tank raised.

From what i read and experience, most clowns do this when they are introduced to a new tank.

So nothing to be worried about

Well thats a relief. It would be strange if all they all year is go up and down the glass lol...

Do you know how long it takes for them to snap out and swim in the rock structures/explore, from your experience

from my experience clowns dont really do that lol

I've seen occys do that a lot, but after a while mine stopped doing it as much. When I used to have maroons and tomatoes (not in the same tank btw) they didn't really act like that at all. I don't really know what all that means, but at least my occys are always out where everyone can enjoy watching them.

I had 3 pairs do this as well. I thought they would die from exhaustion. Hehe
all my pairs that did this were juvi's ( none of my adult pairs ever did this) and they are most likely scared. It will take them a few days to settle down and find some territory.

Hi..

The 3 pair that you had doing the glass thing.. did they eventually stop?

My clowns and tang did this when I first introduced them to tank. They figured it out in about 3-4 days.

I have a young pair of mocha occys and they have been in the same corner for 2 weeks. only recently have they started exploring. they are def skittish, one of the tunze's clicks a little and they get spooked. I also noticed that they would cruise the glass and nip at pods...my tank is new and only a few fish and CUC, so there are pods everywhere on the glass. my tank is too new for a nem, i have trying to find a large bubble coral that didnt cost as much as a car payment, so far ive struck out though...my guys are happy, they eat like little pigs and look healthy...i als slowed the flow down and that helped them come out of their corner, they tend to want to eat in their corner thoguh, no matter where i put the food, they stay in their spot and wait for it to come to them...

Make sure you have your tank covered. I lost a jumper when they were doing this, until they find their way in the tank jumping is a high risk IMO

You should probably say most TANK-RAISED clowns do this. Clowns caught in the wild do not.

I was thinking it was a tank-raised thing. I had some clarkii and maroon's in the past but never did this. Well... they're still at it but once in a while they go off in the middle for a few seconds.. then they go right back tot he glass.. It's only been 2 days.. Hopefully they snap out in a few more days :)

perhaps this is the first time they have seen glass walls having lived in a fiberglass tub all their life. It goes something like this: "man, I see that candle on the table over there, if I could just swim over there..."

+1.... I have a tank raised clown and a black saddleback and they aren't the exciting ones to watch. Our Orangeback Fairy Wrasse is a mover and likes to explore along with the firefish.

If I could, I would add a sixline in..

Got Pictures of them?

Yep here's one of them..
