I hate my BTA

A few questions, sorry been busy with family life:

temp
salinity
flow
pH
mg
nitrates
nitrites

light cycle (timing and type)
rock type
age of tank/rock

Also did you check the salinity in water it came from?

I was at my lfs and it is funny that they keep them all at a really hypo salinity like 1.17...

A few questions, sorry been busy with family life:

temp 77.8-80.4
salinity 34
flow Not sure of the GPH on my return pump or powereheads, but I have 3 (bought the tank setup used)
pH 8
mg 1240
nitrates 0
nitrites 0 most of the time, occasionally gets up to 5ppm

light cycle (timing and type) Ecoxotic 48" Marine Pro LED, Ecoxotic 48" Panorama Actnic, Ecoxotic Stunner Strip LEDs running 12 hours on full power
rock type 50 lbs of rock came with the tank, 2 or 3 large pieces were legit live rock the rest was base rock, added 30 lbs of base rock about a month before I got the BTA
age of tank/rock Setup for about a year before I had it, I purchased it in May

Also did you check the salinity in water it came from? Negative

I was at my lfs and it is funny that they keep them all at a really hypo salinity like 1.17... I understand them keeping fish at hypo, but not BTA's, that's dumb... the BTA was in a separate tank from the rest of the system at the lfs, it was in a tank by itself with 3 other nem's.

If I could do an actual upload of the pic I took last night I would, but I don't have access to image sharing sites here at work.

Yeah, I never check the anemone tanks when I have gotten them. I just drip acclimate them as they are more sensitive.

The rock -- Was it dry or already seasoned/cured? I have seen more problems with people that have fresh 'dry' rock that was never cured and off gassed/particles and irritated anemones.

Light... Have you tried to cut it to 50% to see if it would reach out to the light and adjust it from there? (might take a day or two)

Other parameters look pretty good. I had ecoxotic's before I switched to radion's. Still have them too, just not using them.

The base rock I bought cured for at least a month before I put the anemone in.

I haven't messed with the lights since he's started recovering. Last time I tried it didn't affect his behavior, but that was when he was sick.

Regarding the anemone, you just have to feed him small bits of food every other day or so until he regain his health. He is servery bleached and will not get any energy/food from light at this time because he has no zooxanthellae.

Thanks, did not realize that... I was working from my phone.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I've seen a huge improvement in the last 19 days. He is eating krill or silverside every other day, he's staying open in the light and his mouth is staying closed throughout the day. His tips are also more bubbly, though still short, and he has gained some zooxanthellae in a few of his tips... you can see it a little bit in the picture I posted.
