Hi Gary
I am calling this anemone a he because he released a milky substance from his mouth in short bursts over several hours around week 3. I was glad I had water ready to do a water change.
I tested for a feeding response on day 2 in my tank and the response was quick with no regurgitation. Based on advice I have read on this forum about recently shipped mags, I waited a few weeks to feed the anemone again. Since then, I have been feeding the anemone mysis and other finely minced raw foods every 3 days.
Is a 1 hour per day deflation normal for a mag? The time period for the deflation is never over an hour. Since it does not deflate at all on days that it is fed , I wonder if I fed it very small amounts every day the deflation would stop? I think I'll try feeding every other day first and see if that helps. Thank you.
