I have been selling my Oregon tort frags way to cheap

What I find every interesting about the true tort is that nothing since than has ever came in like it again. No vendor has yet to say they have acquired this amazing Sps from where it originated from. Now that's amazing

That was probably one of the coolest threads I've ever read through! Thank you so much for that info! That was very interesting. I found it funny how someone said it should be called the "drama tort" lol. Needless to say Shaun Monahan came on and clarified everything! I love history of corals like this. There are 3 different variants of this coral. Such an amazing piece!

If someone on here has frags for sale shoot me a PM. I've been interested in getting an Oregon Tort for a little bit but not finding anything local or on the for sale boards.

Same here.....I have been wanting a Oregon Tort since I got into SPS. The GARF Bonsai was my first....and this would be a great addition!! If Somme has a true Oregon Tort here in Jersey, I would be willing to buy a Frag...shoot me a PM

I agree with you, I find that amazing too! I wonder what this coral looked like growing wild in Bali? I've also wondered how many times a coral looks better in our tanks than it did in the wild. Interesting stuff!

I have been growing this little guy for about a year. Nothing grows slower than an Oregon Tort.

I had one about 10 years ago. A few of us made a trip to Portland and I picked one up. But it got sold off about 6 years ago. The last thing that I remember hearing about it was it got lost when the guy lost power for a couple of days and his generator died after the first day and he couldn't get a back up one. He lost everything in his tank a couple years ago. Maybe one day I will get a true one again once I get my tank all figured out and can keep a SPS alive in my new setup.

I got a huge frag from reeflover. My friends told me his pics were photoshopped. Well my friends, they are not. This thing is solid blue. I mean real blue. Did I say BLUE???

My frag is doing great under my radions. Will be my centerpiece!

Let's see a picture of yours.

I bought mine from reeflover62 at the PBMAS swap. I don't remember exactly when, but it was after MACNA Ft. Lauderdale in August 2013. I bought a nice sized Oregon tort and an ORA Pearlberry from him. Unfortunately I lost the Pearlberry later. I traded a Mia's Fruit Loops favia with him for 2 Pearlberry's at Reefapalooza this March.

Here is a picture of mine. Not the greatest photo, but it is a beautiful color.

Got my awesome frag in January. It was a slow grower for me the first time I grew a colony, but this second frag seems to really like it's placement because it's growing much faster . . . here's 4 months of growth . . .

looks great Danny ! It's cool to see one of your own corals in another tank

I still can't get over that growth rate, Joe! I've never seen the Oregon Tort grow so fast! What do you attribute this to?

Hi Chris,
It is hard to see the sticks growing from it because of my photo. I will try to get a much better picture of it in the next day to two. My Pearlberrys are doing great. How is the fruit loops doing?
