I have fry in my tank and I dont know who they came from...

Hubby brought in a few pieces of LR from our back yard last night. They are loaded with feather dusters, christmas tree worms and apparently fry!

When we were feeding the tank this evening I noticed a stream of small white transparent bellies with little transparent tails. The filters were off already because we were feeding the inverts, but I have a feeling when we turn it back on they will all go bye bye :0(

Your only chances for rearing would be a seperate tank and lot of rotifers or wild plankton. I don't know if you have anyone locally raising rots', but you do have access to wild plankton if you want to spend the time ;)

Unfortunately we do not have the time right now, or even the money (tanks and supplies here have a 300% mark up compared to the states).

We just turned the filtration and pumps back on. Most of them left relatively quickly, but there are a few who have survived.

Maybe the next time.

If want to give it go sometime in the future, you don't have to use fish tanks for larval rearing. Just think outside the glass box, things like 5 gallon plastic buckets, rubbermaid storage containers, etc. can be used easily ;)
