So I have a red sea reefer 750 and decided I want to run carbon in a reactor and build a manifold. I found one online I like and purchased parts that were listed for that manifold. One thing, I have no clue how to do any of this. I have never plumbed a reef tank before, so this varios 8 return pump with no instruction manual is throwing me for a loop. I am in way over my head. I don't know what parts go where and I honestly didn't realize how difficult this is. Not sure anyone can help, just lost. If it wasn't for this whole plumbing thing I might have a chance at this hobby.

Search for manifold using the search function. There is a lot information available. That is what I did before I built mine. I am running three reactors, a frag tank, and display tank off of mine. It really isn’t that hard. Mine has the return pump into the manifold with 5 valves. Remember to use soft tubing at some point between the return pump and manifold so vibrations from the pump,don’t travel to the manifold.

Well you already have the reactor but may I ask why you are trying to run one?

Well.. we don't know what the ........ you are doing either..
So please post a link to the manifold you found that you want to build..
Then post clear pictures of the area you intend to mount it in.
Then give a details parts list of what you purchased (gather the parts in one area and take a picture of them too)..
Give us details and we can hopefully walk you through it all..
But realize that pluming is rather easy.. So have some confidence in yourself and lets go step by step and get it knocked out..:thumbsup:

So I've attached pictures of my sump, and the complete list between BRS and lowe's of the supplies that I have. Hoping someone can advise me as to how I start hooking up the return and also how I go from pvc to gate valve to reactor, and if I need more parts to do that because obviously the reactor I have is different from the build I am trying to emulate. Thanks for any advice!

That's a lot of pipes for one reactor! I just use an eheim external pump and soft lines to run my reactor. It works great.
