i have the dumbest occ clowns

they sleep inverted behind the heater and try to feed it mysis one is a compleatly black and white the other is norm pattern
My guess is they hit their heads on the acro too many times while playing tag.

Clowns are my favorite fish personality wise

Clowns will host almost anything (i.e. maxi-jets, heaters, etc.) and will usually attempt to feed their hosts.

Actually it's widely believed that they don't so much "feed" their hosts as attempt to store food there...just so happens that anemones eat it before the clowns do.

After having almost 40 anemones and 200+ clownfishes in my collection, I completely agreed with that statement. My clownfish only tries to steal food from the anemone when I feed them. In a community tank with many fish, the clownfish take the food and tries to 'store' it in the anemone. If they are not competing with other fish, they are happy to pull the food out of the anemone to eat it.

I've seen it in a few places...I think Joyce Wilkerson's book "Clownfishes" is probably the most reliable source I can come up with off the top of my head.

I saw it myself a bit when I had my clowns in QT back in April, they would carry bits of food that were too big into their favorite PVC pipe and go after it a couple of minutes later.
